CA President Darren Praznik participated in the Washington, D.C. based Wilson Centre virtual discussion on USMCA/CUSMA and what it could mean to developing a new economic future for North America. Moderated by former US Ambassador E. Anthony Wayne, the policy maker dialogue included senior officials from the governments of the United States, Canada and Mexico. An ongoing theme was the opportunity and benefits of creating a more integrated North American economy both in terms of increasing economic growth, but also in creating a greater ability to negotiate with other growing economic challenges from countries such as China.
As highly integrated international industry, the cosmetic sector has a role to play in advancing such initiatives.
