Position Overview
Under the guidance of the Director of Sales – Prestige Beauty, this position will be responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of the retail sales plans with Prestige Beauty retailers. This role involves increasing company revenue by generating sales from new and existing customers. To this end, the Account Manager will identify, qualify, and close accounts seeking the organizations products and services. The Account Manager will also work with sales channels to raise awareness of company offerings and initiate new business ventures in order to increase market share and meet fiscal goals.
Responsibilities/Key Tasks
Develop and maintain meaningful and profitable relationships with retail customers
Develop and initiate innovative plans, programs and strategies to provide significant value added service to the customers
Maintain regular contact to manage customer relationships and attend industry, customer and trade events
Serve as a single-point-of-contact for key accounts; execute all services for client
Develop and maintain relationships within assigned accounts
Collaborate with customer contacts in order to define needs and provide solutions
Identify and target new business sales opportunities
Promote and maintain the organization’s brand image and identity within the marketplace
Develop sales goals for retail accounts and manage all aspects of strategic sales initiatives for those accounts
Analyze point of sale and other sales data; communicate trends, insights and risks via weekly performance reports to internal stakeholders
Provide input and assist in development of presentations and other marketing collateral
Create and conduct in-depth customer sales presentations that highlight key benefits, ROI, and value the company’s products/services
Identify and resolve risks associated with the delivery and/or provision of customer contracts; manage client expectations
Conduct and develop quarterly and annual account reviews
Manage, negotiate, and track returns ensuring that budgets are respected
Collaborate with Brand Marketing team to develop and allocate product launches and event requirements, as well as tester and sample allocations
Maintain close contact with sales analyst team to track monthly retailer shipments for regular review
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of Prestige Cosmetics, consumer packaged goods or other related industry
Negotiation and communication skills
Sound strategic thinking, effective planning and execution skills
Strong customer focus with the ability to understand key business drivers
Demonstrated ability to be proactive and takes ownership to resolve issues
Creative, dynamic thinking individual with a demonstrated drive and passion
Ability to work independently, make decisions where are appropriate and meet deadlines
Strong drive for flawless execution, high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Persuasive interpersonal oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
Previous sales experience with SDM/LCL is considered an asset
